Meet Murphy, A handsome, kind natured Dark Bay TB, He is 9 years old, an Ex Race horse trained & brought on by Ron Hodges, not like a typical TB though !
He retired form racing in 2009 & we brought him a year ago for my 14 year old daughter to bring on a do small competitions. Unfortunately Murphy has a few issues with his jumping & therefore is not suitable for what my daughter wants or needs him for.
It is a real shame because he is absolutely faultless with everything else. He is wonderful for hacking alone or in company, 100% Bomb proof in traffic, excellent to shoe, clip, catch, happy to be in his stable or in field, up to date with his teeth & vaccinations.
He is fantastic at Dressage with 3 balanced paces & could be brought on to progress further into this. Or he would just be happy to go out on lovely hacks most days.
He is a very safe, easy going horse & I trust him completely with my 14 year old daughter & allow her to go out alone with him - He adours company & socializes very well with other horses & new situations.
It's been a fantastic year with Murphy & we are very saddened that he can't be brought on with his jumping because that is his only fault(this may be because he has extended pasterns, there has never been any lameness of sore feet what so ever.
So if you want a horse that is for jumping then Murphy is not your horse BUT if you want a safe, kind horse that is excellent in the school with dressage or just a Happy hacking horse then please contact me on here & I will tell you anything you need to know.
We have known him to crib bite, not severely but with a collar on, we have not known him to do this.
He has to go to a 5* home - Very sad sale for us all.
